No Room for Racism
Victoria is home to cultures and communities from across the world, alongside the oldest continuing cultures on Earth – Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Our diversity is one of our greatest strengths. It should be protected, celebrated and reflected in our politics.
But at election time, too many politicians reach for the same tired playbook: create fear, find a community to blame and turn people’s differences into political weapons.
This election, First Nations, migrant, multicultural and broader Victorian communities are coming together to say clearly: there is No Room for Racism in our politics.
Days until Victorians vote
Choosing community over division
When politicians attack one community to gain supporters and votes, it makes all of us less safe.
We have seen First Nations rights, Treaty and self-determination turned into political battlegrounds. We have seen migrant and multicultural communities blamed for problems they did not create. And we have seen politicians use race, culture, religion and where people come from to manufacture fear and division.
We refuse to accept it.
No matter where we’re born, who we worship, what language we speak or the colour of our skin, everyone deserves to feel safe, respected and valued in the place they call home.
Victorians deserve politics that brings our communities together, not politics that divides us for votes.

Victoria belongs to all of us.
First Nations justice and migrant justice is justice for everyone.
Our strength lies in solidarity. Together, our communities are powerful.

Be part of it
With the Victorian state election coming up – we need to send politicians a message
Across Victoria, people are coming together to make sure racism and division aren’t a pathway to political power.
We’ll knock on doors and have thousands of conversations with voters. We’ll put signs and posters on streets across the state. We’ll take our message to the airwaves. And we’ll produce clear, accessible scorecards so voters can see what political parties and candidates have said, how they’ve acted and where their policies stand.
When communities are singled out or scapegoated, we’ll respond. And when candidates ask Victorians for their vote, we’ll make sure their record is there for people to see.
Days until Victorians vote on Saturday 28 November.
Weeks of conversations, doorknocks and market stalls left.
Weekends left to put a poster in your window.
Hours until polls open. Every one of them counts.
Will you join us?

Every conversation, every sign and every person who gets involved helps show that our communities are organised, paying attention and standing together against racism in our politics.

Demand a higher standard from politicians
We’re joining forces with community groups across the state to send a clear message this election: there’s no room for racism in our politics, and fuelling hate will cost you at the ballot box.
We want leaders who
- respect the rights of all our communities
- reject racism and political scapegoating
- defend First Nations rights
- stand against far-right, fascist and neo-Nazi rhetoric and ideas.
